Other information

The defence apparatus licence is used to authorise defence stations operating either within bands designated principally for the purposes of defence, or within bands whose only primary service is intended to be used principally for the purposes of defence under the Australian Radiofrequency Spectrum Plan.

The defence licence type provides limited information as it may be used to authorise any number of stations operating at any number of undisclosed geographic locations.

The allocation of frequencies within bands or to services designated principally for the purpose of defence is the domain of the Department of Defence.
