Information Publication Scheme

In accordance with the Freedom of information Act 1982 (FOI Act), we are required to provide an Information Publication Scheme (IPS). The IPS came into effect from 1 May 2011.

The IPS encourages a proactive approach from Australian Government agencies to release information to the public and encourages openness and transparency.

About the ACMA

In accordance with the IPS, under sections 8(2)(b) and 8(2)(d) of the FOI Act, we are required to publish information about our organisation and structure, office locations, governance arrangements and statutory appointments.

Consultations

We are required under section 8(2)(f) of the FOI Act to publish information about our consultation arrangements, which allow the public and other stakeholders to comment on proposals that the ACMA is responsible for, and external consultations to which the ACMA makes submissions.
